22nd May - 4th June

22 - 05 - 09Today was a day for everyone with a physical scene to practice their movement with Jo. We covered the part in Act 5 Scene 1, where my character - Vincentio and is chasing and hitting Kelly’s character Biondella with my walking stick. I thought It went pretty ok and it’s starting to come together. Others were also practicing on their movement and Jo, Kayleigh and Chris worked on the scene where the servants and bringing the food, coming up with ideas on how Petruchio could become…See More

On Wednesday 10th June our preduction of Taming of the shrew was performed at the Freidrech Ebert Obershule in Berlin to an enthansitisic audience. As Actors we created an atmosphere for the arriving audience by walking the space in charchter and interacting throughout This atmosphere was suporting by the playing of the guiatristssituated in the cafe' areaon stage. Before the show there were a number vof issues including being unfamilar with the set and being told we were going to perform…See More

My Evaluation

On Wednesday 10th June our production of “the Taming of the Shrew” was performed at the Frederich Ebert Obersank in Berlin to a very enthusiastic audience. As actors we created an atmosphere for the arriving audience because we were walking around the space in character and were interacting with each other and the audience, so it appeared that the audience was actually walking into the crazy world of Padua. This atmosphere was supported by the playing of two guitarists situated in Baptista’s…See More

Evaluation

We did 2 performances of taming of the shrew one in Wales and one in Berlin. The first performance that we done was in Wales, this was only a preview performance, it was supposed to be performed outside but due to weather we decided it would be best to do the performance in the theatre. I thought this performance went really well considering we had only worked with the set tidy a couple of times and hadn’t worked much in the theatre. I thought I was the weak one in this performance as I didn’t… Continue

26th May - 28th May 2009

26th

Today we got to see the set for the first time, considering the production team has had a lot of time to build a set I think they could do a lot better. I was expecting a really good set that we could work with and be happy with. I am disappointed with the effect that has been put into it. After this we worked on the dance in the wedding scene. I feel as if every time we do it, it’s getting better but am still not comfortable doing it as other people don’t pick the dance up straight… Continue

20th My 2009 - 22nd May 2009

20-05-09

Today I weren’t in any of the scenes as they were rehearsing Act 4. So I sat and watched all day. I found that everyone is doing really well.

21-05-09

Today it was decided that the show would be performed on Thursday instead of Monday as we ain’t had enough time with full cast in rehearsals and didn’t want to feel like we hadn’t done good on the night. I think this was a fair decision as I wouldn’t be ready on Monday knowing there’s still work that needs to… Continue
